Doug de Freitas
President

Mr. de Freitas has over 18 years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. He began his career in Trinidad, W.I. working with N.L. Baroid, at first as a mudlogger and then as a Drilling Technologist. Mr. de Freitas worked for N.L. Baroid for five years in Trinidad, Venezuela and Alberta, Canada both off-shore and on land based rigs. His responsibilities included well-site geology and an overall review and support of drilling operating procedures. Mr. de Freitas attended N.L. Baroid's training facility in Houston, Texas for the program, "Advanced Drilling Technology".

From 1983 to 1988, Mr. de Freitas worked for Geotech Resources in their Production Engineering Research Group, where he was involved in the design and implementation of various in-situ type reservoir studies. Mr. de Freitas also designed and built equipment and protocol for the running of various in-situ reservoir displacement studies. From 1988 to 1991, Mr. de Freitas worked for a junior Alberta based drilling fluid company, Petro-Tech Fluid Systems, designing, building and running innovative "mud systems" throughout Alberta, focusing on reservoir protection and environmental sensitivity. From 1991 to 1993, Mr. de Freitas worked for Chemical and Geological Laboratories in Calgary as a Marketing Representative, specializing in environmental operations. Mr. de Freitas assisted in the design and implementation of several gas and liquid sampling programs at operating facilities, and environmental sampling and analytical programs throughout Western Canada.

April of 1993, Mr. de Freitas has been working for and is one of the co-founders of Kaizen Environmental Sampling Inc., an environmental service company specializing in site assessment and remediation of contaminated sites. Mr. de Freitas recognized that environmental challenges and corporations both exist in the global market place. Kaizen had considerable environmental expertise to search for and develop opportunities for international expansion. An initial strategic plan identifying Kaizen's corporate growth objectives was developed into a specific business plan. Mr. de Freitas provided the vision and guided the growth of Kaizen in the international arena, and in 1997, Kaizen registered its first independent offshore office in Trinidad, W.I., Kaizen Environmental Services (Trinidad) Ltd. Mr. de Freitas continues to pursue the vision of facilitating the growth of Kaizen as a leader in providing environmental services in the regions of Western Canada and the Caribbean.

Kathryn Lundy B.A. Ec. & P.S.
Vice President of Projects Divison

Ms. Lundy has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Calgary in Alberta. Ms. Lundy has held a number of positions in the oil and gas industry. She began her career at Unocal. Upon completion of her degree as the Coordinator of Supply and Transportation for Sulphur and Petroleum. In 1986, Ms. Lundy took a position with the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission as a member of the Special Task Force on Natural Gas Deregulation. In 1988, Ms. Lundy accepted the position of Coordinator of Economic Analysis for the Canadian Association of Oil well Drilling Contractors. From 1988 to mid-1993, she was responsible for analyzing the effect of health, safety and environmental regulations on upstream petroleum industry operations, in addition to developing policies, plans and procedures to assist Association Members in understanding and complying with such legislation From 1993 to 1996, Ms. Lundy was employed at Precision Drilling as Manager of Environmental Control where she was responsible for developing safety and environmental management systems for the Corporation as well as some of its’ subsidiaries. In addition, Ms. Lundy performed numerous environmental audits and assessments of office, field and yard operations, and conducted extensive employee training seminars.

In 1996, Ms. Lundy joined Kaizen International Inc. as an Auditor and Specialist in Environmental Management Systems. In May of 1998, she accepted a partnership and the position of General Manager. In response to the AEUB's LLR program, Ms Lundy has developed a variety of programs to assist energy companies in calculating their LLR prior to making acquisitions, and reducing the securities required by the Board. In addition, Ms. Lundy utilizes principles of cost benefit analysis and opportunity cost to assist companies in managing both long and short-term liabilities.

Bryce Phimester
Operations Manager

Mr. Phimester attended Mount Royal College from 1989-1992, where he obtained Diplomas for Environmental Technology for both Air monitoring and Waste Management. Mr. Phimester was able to take this knowledge and apply it directly while working at Chiron where he worked as an Environmental Technologist, responsible for Landspraying Drilling fluids, Sites Assessments, managing Remediation and Reclamation projects, training and management of employees.

Mr. Phimester was accepted for the position of Sales and Operations Manger at Envirosort where he helped to build Envirosort from scratch to the extremely successful business that it is today. Mr. Phimester was responsible for all aspects of business in the 8 years that he worked for Envirosort from designing bins to developing the complex infrastructure required to deliver services to even the most remote locations on a 24/7 basis. He is well known in the industry for great customer services skills, and was a great asset for Envirosort.

Blake Bouzek, P. Eng., BSc2
Remediation Manager

Mr. Bouzek holds BSc. degrees in Civil Engineering and Physical Geography from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta.

Mr. Bouzek has ten years experience preparing and implementing Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Mr. Bouzek joined Kaizen Environmental Services Inc. in 1997 and has been involved with all areas of field operations. He is currently the Remediation Manager with responsibility for projects in Western Canada. He is responsible for design and supervision of oilfield related construction projects, Phase II and III & IV contaminated site assessments and remediation, and environmental assessments.

Mr. Bouzek is a registered professional engineer with APEGGA, in Alberta and with APEGBC, in British Columbia.

Kyle Hofseth
Reclamation and Drilling Waste Manager

Mr. Hofseth attended Mount Royal College and successfully received a diploma in Environmental Technology, majoring in waste management and water pollution studies. While attending Mount Royal College Mr. Hofseth was awarded the 1999 Mount Royal College Environmental Technology Faculty Scholarship based on academic achievement.

Mr. Hofseth brings with him over 8 years of Environmental Project Management experience within the oil and gas/drilling waste management and reclamation sector. Throughout this time Mr. Hofseth has been used extensively in supervising at the field level various projects throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia primarily dealing with drilling waste disposal and reclamation issues in the oil and gas industry. During this time Mr. Hofseth has had the opportunity of working in various capacities as an Environmental Crew Supervisor, Laboratory Analysis Coordinator, Senior Environmental Supervisor and Senior Project Supervisor.

Currently, Mr. Hofseth is responsible for Managing Reclamation, Drilling Waste and Special Projects programs for Kaizen Environmental Services.
